Pullet Flock Allocations / Moves

Pullet Flocks get allocated to Lay Flocks. You can allocate a Pullet Flock to multiple Lay Flocks.

An Allocation record is also considered a Move record. You may think of the allocation information as the left half of the record, and the move details as the right half of the record.

Pullet Flock Move Count Adjustments

Count adjustments made here are NOT the same as count adjustments made on the Pullet Flock Weekly records. These count adjustments are specifically for handling adjustments that need to be made AFTER birds are removed from a Pullet Barn. This is so that Pullet Farmer pay is not affected by what happens after the birds leave his barn. This also allows reporting on the losses that occur during a flock move from a pullet barn to a lay barn. In some cases, immediate mortality in a Lay Barn (crowding/smothering for example) may be recorded here as well, rather than in a Lay Barn. This is done in cases where the dead birds are replaced, and this avoids the impression that a Lay Barn may have been over-housed.

It is really important to understand that adjustments made here do not affec the current quantity of a Pullet Flock, or the Catch Count. These adjustments strictly affect the Lay Flock Birds Housed amount.

These reports are available on the Navigator form and are named as follows:

  1. Pullet Flock Move Count Adjustments
  2. Pullet Flock Move Count Adjustments by Catch Crew
  3. Pullet Flock Move Count Adjustments by Reason

These reports are intended to help spot issues that consistently arise during the process of moving flocks.
