Pullet Barn Out Time Pay
Business Rules
- Out time is only computed for ACTIVE Pullet Barns.
- Out time computes from the Pullet Barn Activated date,
the Contract start date, or one year ago, whichever is newer.
- If the contract status changes, out time calculations
are reset to 0 and start over.
- If a barn is a Brood barn (first stage of a two-stage barn), the
second stage (Grow-Out) will be ignored, and the out time pay for
the Brood barn will simply be doubled. This is because a two-stage setup
can produce exactly twice the number of birds in one year as a single-stage
can. An empty day in a Brood stage will cause an empty day in a Grow-Out stage,
so it is simplest (and best) to simply double the pay on a Brood barn.
If you want to audit the calculations, use the button on the right called "Export Barn
Data Proof for the Selected Barn". This will allow you to walk through the data for
the selected barn to verify that calculations are working as expected.
Pullet Barn Contract Dates
You will want to think carefully about how you handle Pullet Barn Contract dates! If a Pullet Barn
goes off contract, and later goes back on contract, you need to determine if you want to update
the contract dates by EXTENDING the end date, or by setting a new start date as well. If you simply
extend the contract end date, be aware that this is instructing the calculator to continue to use
the last 12 months of flock activity in the calculations.
