Breeds and Performance Standards

Each breed has a set of performance standards that are used to evaluate performance from a variety of perspectives. Breed standards are set up to allow you to record the Hatchery Standard, and derive your own Company Standard. The Company Standard is what is actually used in reporting.

On the Detail tab, the "Standard Count" is the number of standards that you expect to create on the "Pullet Performance Standards" tab. The record count is controlled by this number - in other words, you cannot create more standards than the number set on the first tab.

If you EDIT a Standard, it will affect ALL Pullet Flock Weekly records that are linked to the Standard.

If you want to REPLACE a standard, DEACTIVATE the original standard, save it, and create a new one to replace it. All flocks (using this breed) created thereafter will have the related weekly record linked to the new standard.
